# 4- Create a Database and Save the Credentials

Important: Before creating your [Database](https://nippylaunch.com/encyclopedia/database/), delete the automatically created one from the previous step. Click on the three dots next to the [Database](https://nippylaunch.com/encyclopedia/database/) and select Delete.

1. In your [Control Panel](https://nippylaunch.com/encyclopedia/control-panel/), go to **Websites**, then select **Dashboard** for your [Domain](https://nippylaunch.com/encyclopedia/domain/)**.**

2. Click on **Databases** and choose **Create a New MySQL [Database](https://nippylaunch.com/encyclopedia/database/) and User**.

3. Fill in the required fields:

- MySQL [Database](https://nippylaunch.com/encyclopedia/database/) name  

- MySQL username  

- Password

4. **Save** the [Credentials](https://nippylaunch.com/encyclopedia/credentials/) securely for use during WordPress installation.

5. Click **Create**to finalize the [Database](https://nippylaunch.com/encyclopedia/database/) creation.
