# FluentBooking PRO – Installation Guide

# Overview

FluentBooking is a WordPress appointment and scheduling system for one-to-one meetings, group events, teams, availability, notifications, and calendar connections. The Pro add-on expands the core booking workflow and integrations.

**When to use it.**Use it when bookings should be managed inside WordPress and the team needs branded scheduling pages, controlled availability, and calendar-aware conflict prevention.

# Before You Begin

**Platform compatibility.**Use a WordPress and PHP combination supported by the current developer release. Minimum versions can change; verify the current official product page or plugin/theme metadata before production deployment. Do not bypass an activation or compatibility warning without identifying its cause.

## Requirements and dependencies

- - The free FluentBooking core plugin must be installed and active.
- - A valid email-delivery configuration for booking notifications.
- - Accurate WordPress timezone and host calendars for conflict checking.
- - External calendar or meeting accounts only for the integrations you enable.

## Pre-installation checks

- - Back up the site and document current booking links, host availability, and calendar ownership.
- - Confirm the WordPress timezone under Settings > General.
- - Decide which calendar is authoritative for availability and which calendars should only receive new events.

# Installation

1. 1. Install and activate [FluentBooking](https://nippylaunch.com/mp-files/fluentbooking-pro.zip/) from Plugins > Add New Plugin.
2. 2. Download or obtain the [FluentBooking](https://nippylaunch.com/mp-files/fluentbooking-pro.zip/) Pro ZIP and keep it compressed.
3. 3. Go to Plugins > Add New Plugin > Upload Plugin, upload the Pro ZIP, install, and activate it.
4. 4. Open FluentBooking and confirm both the core and Pro functionality load without an activation warning.

# License Activation

1. 1. Open FluentBooking > Settings > License.
2. 2. Paste a valid FluentBooking Pro license key and select Verify License. (First, check whether the Pro version is already active, as manual license entry may not be required.)
3. 3. Confirm the license status is active. If no developer-issued key is available, do not invent one; account-based updates and support may remain unavailable.

**Important.**A premium download does not automatically establish ownership of the original developer's account, license key, automatic-update service, cloud features, or direct support. Use only [Credentials](https://nippylaunch.com/encyclopedia/credentials/) that are valid for this site and were supplied through an authorized account or an explicit [Nippy Launch](https://nippylaunch.com/encyclopedia/nippy-launch/) entitlement.

# Initial Setup

1. 1. Create the host profile and verify its timezone.
2. 2. Connect external calendars and choose which calendars block availability.
3. 3. Create one event type with duration, location, availability, buffers, notice period, and booking window.
4. 4. Configure confirmation, reminder, cancellation, and rescheduling messages.
5. 5. Publish the booking page or embed the booking form, then complete a test booking from another timezone.

# Recommended Configuration

- - Use buffers and a minimum-notice period to prevent back-to-back or last-minute bookings.
- - Limit the future booking window to a period the host can realistically maintain.
- - Connect only the calendars needed for conflict checks; too many blocking calendars can hide valid availability.
- - Use a reliable SMTP or transactional email service and test every notification role.
- - Keep meeting links and private event details out of public descriptions.

# Main Features

The installed edition can provide the following primary capabilities. Availability may depend on the active plan, add-ons, and current release.

- - One-to-one, group, and team scheduling
- - Availability, buffers, notice, and booking-window controls
- - Booking pages and front-end embeds
- - Calendar conflict checking and event synchronization
- - Notifications, reminders, cancellation, and rescheduling

# How to Use It

**Practical starting workflow.**Create a 30-minute consultation with a 15-minute buffer, one business-day minimum notice, and a 30-day booking window. Connect the host calendar, book from a private browser in another timezone, reschedule, cancel, and verify every calendar and email action.

# Integrations

- - Google Calendar and Google Meet
- - Other calendar and meeting services supported by the installed edition
- - Fluent Forms and Fluent ecosystem integrations
- - Webhooks or automation tools where documented

Enable an integration only after its account ownership, permissions, data flow, and failure behavior have been tested. Keep secret [Credentials](https://nippylaunch.com/encyclopedia/credentials/) out of page content and screenshots.

# Common Issues & Troubleshooting

- - **No time slots appear.**Check host timezone, event availability, connected blocking calendars, notice period, booking window, and existing events.
- - **Double booking occurs.**Confirm the correct external calendars are selected for conflict checking and that synchronization is authorized.
- - **Meeting link is missing.**Reconnect the meeting integration and verify that it is selected as the event location.
- - **Emails do not arrive.**Check notification status, sender configuration, SMTP logs, spam filtering, and the attendee address.
- - **License verification fails.**Confirm the key, [Domain](https://nippylaunch.com/encyclopedia/domain/) allocation, and outbound connection to the vendor.

If the problem persists, reproduce it on staging, capture the exact error and relevant logs, and compare the behavior with nonessential plugins temporarily disabled. Restore the production site rather than troubleshooting destructively in place.

# Updating the Plugin or Resource

1. 1. Back up and review release notes, especially calendar and notification changes.
2. 2. Update the core and Pro add-on together on staging when possible.
3. 3. Retest booking, rescheduling, cancellation, timezones, calendar sync, meeting links, and email delivery.

- - Confirm that the backup completed and can be accessed independently of WordPress.
- - Review the official changelog and compatibility notes.
- - Update during a low-risk window and keep a tested rollback path.
- - Clear relevant caches and perform the product-specific functional tests listed above.

# Uninstallation

1. 1. Export or record hosts, event types, integrations, and future bookings before removal.
2. 2. Disconnect external accounts and revoke tokens that are no longer needed.
3. 3. Confirm how historical booking data is retained before deleting plugin data.

Deactivation and deletion are not the same as data removal. Confirm the product's current cleanup options, [Database](https://nippylaunch.com/encyclopedia/database/) tables, uploaded files, remote data, connected accounts, and continuing external billing or scheduled actions before removal.

# Security & Best Practices

- - Use HTTPS and least-privilege host roles.
- - Review connected-account permissions and revoke unused tokens.
- - Do not expose private calendar details in public event descriptions.
- - Protect attendee personal data and define retention rules.
- - Use unique administrator accounts, least-privilege roles, HTTPS, and multi-factor authentication where supported.
- - Keep the resource, WordPress, PHP, theme, and dependencies on supported versions.
- - Store backups and recovery instructions outside the WordPress site.
